The room was very clean, I will give it that, but the beds/pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The place is very old and needs to be updated. A friend also said to go to Crystal park, but we never made it there.we went to Spencer Idaho to get opals instead (If you go there, got to the first place on the left when you turn left at the end of the street-big yellow sign). There you'll get to wash the gems out of dirt buckets.You may want to get the $5 garnet bucket too. Go out to Skulkaho (spelled something like that-They can tell you at Vagabond). If you go out to hunt sapphires.Don't go to the place in Phillipsburg by the candy shop unless you just want to buy finished Jewelry. You must eat at the Classic Cafe wish we had found it the first day of our first trip in April. They do have Wi-Fi and continental breakfast. The beds were the MOST comfortable ones we have stayed in (due to family emergency we have stayed in 11 quaint little inns in the last 3 months) -brand new sealy posture pedics. We ended up staying 3 nights and they still refunded us $50.00 even though we didn't expect it. We booked a 7 day weekly rate for just $280 for 2 queen beds. The first one was pleasant so when we had to return for settling of estate issues, this was our first choice. We stayed in the Trade Wind Motel on the way back through Anaconda, and had a lovely experience with a large, clean room with comfy beds and good hospitality at a smaller cost.⦠Very unprofessional and put us in an uncomfortable situation having to request some peace and quiet. It took three calls to the office stating we had just travelled ten hours and needed to rest up for a long drive the next day before it was stopped. STOMP, STOMP, STOMP>one way,<<<<a more robust breakfast, consider Doniven's Family Diner about 5 minutes south, also on Park St. Continental breakfast was a bit of joke with just donuts and cold cereal but the coffee was hot and fresh every morning. Wireless internet was exceptionally fast with great reception through the entire motel. Was a bit discouraged that there was no hot tub, but with Fairmont Hot Springs just a few minutes away, it really wasn't an issue. Linens were clean, and housekeeping staff was attentive. Beds were a bit on the firm side but still comfortable. Showers were great with plenty of hot water. A mini-fridge in the room was a nice bonus for dinner's leftovers. The location is very convenient with a beautiful park just across the street. The entire property was very clean - a sharp contrast to other hotel/motels in Anaconda. While the rooms are a bit on the small side and older (probably built in the mid-seventies), they're impeccably maintained and comfortable. Owner, Roger, was very friendly and hospitable. Was looking for a pet-friendly motel in Anaconda, and while they don't advertise themselves as such, the owner was willing to work with us.
